Frank Bonelli lascia Francavilla Angitola, piccolo borgo dell’entroterra calabra, quando è ancora bambino e si trasferisce in Inghilterra, dove comincia a fare l’apprendista meccanico. Qui conosce un amico la cui fidanzata è la sorella di Cliff Richard che lo fa avvicinare alla musica, così inizia la sua avventura nel magico mondo della chitarra. Nel 1960 insieme ad altri giovani forma il suo primo gruppo e comincia suonare, nei club di Cambridge prima e di tutta l’Inghilterra e oltre dopo, accanto a quelli che in seguito sarebbero diventati colossi della musica internazionale quali David Gilmour dei Pink Floyd, Ringo Starr dei Beatles, Eric Clapton, Johnny Cash ed altri.

Dopo tanti anni trascorsi in giro per il mondo, nella sua anima, traspare ancora il forte legame con la sua terra di origine, la Calabria.

Frank Bonelli leaves Francavilla Angitola , small inland village of Calabria when he was a child and she moved to England , where it starts to become an apprentice mechanic . There he met a friend whose girlfriend is the sister of Cliff Richard that he was confronted with music , so he began his adventure in the magical world of the guitar. In 1960 together with other young people he formed his first group and begins playing in clubs of Cambridge in England before and after and beyond , alongside those who later would become giants of international music such as David Gilmour of Pink Floyd , Ringo Starr of the Beatles , Eric Clapton , Johnny Cash and others.

After so many years around the world , in his soul , still shines through the strong bond with his homeland , Calabria.
